You know how the humans say you shouldn’t shop when you are hungry? Mom said maybe she shouldn’t work on Caturday art just before dinner. Those tri-tips do look pretty good to a hungry kitty. No need to cook them for me though. I’ll take them just the way they are!
September was National Preparedness Month. We didn’t write about it at the time — we got to live it. When the Butte Fire broke out on the afternoon of September 10th, mom knew we might have to evacuate. By the next morning, it was becoming a real probability so she started getting some things together like important papers and the computers and camera equipment. Late that morning she learned that we would definitely be evacuated and things got into full swing. We then had about two hours before we would have to leave.
Mom had our carriers ready and handy. She closed us in the family room and put the carriers in there with the doors open. Of … Continue reading →

When my True Science Ambassador box arrived at the beginning of the month, I had to tell my Facebook friends because I was so excited that I would be able to share a review of my very favorite treats — Delightibles Wild Country Meats.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I love the regular Delightibles, you can read my review here, but the Wild Country Meats drive me, well, WILD! When mom opens the bag, we all come running, talking up a storm. I don’t know what it is about these treats, but they are just so yummy. I think I especially … Continue reading →
The Traveling Bikini arrived here mid-September while we were evacuated from the fire. It was waiting at the Post Office when we got back home. Mom apologizes for holding it hostage for so long but has been dealing with a lot of things, mostly computer issues since the fire, and hasn’t been able to write my posts for me much. It’s not very practical to write blog posts from an iPhone. At least that’s what mom says.
Do you know about the Traveling Bikini? Back in May, Phoebe of 15andmeowing had the (fun?) idea to send a bikini around to her friends for them to take photos in, and so began The Kittyhood of the Traveling Bikini. The first kitties to get it after Phoebe were … Continue reading →
Mom has had many kitties in her lifetime. Two others, besides me, were very special to her. Hollywood was one of those special kitties. If you missed part one, you can read how she came to live with mom and how I feel about mom having had another soul kitty by clicking here.
Life was pretty normal for Hollywood for the first couple of years of her life. Then mom and her boyfriend got involved with exotic animals. That, in itself, is a very long story. Suffice it to say, it made for some very interesting experiences for a petite, Himalayan kitty. Continue reading →
Happy Monday, Everyone! I told you I would tell you today the results of the comment-a-thon for A-Pal Humane Society on my blogoversary post. First, mom and I want to say thank you for all the kind words. I did not reply to each comment individually as I wanted to make it easy for old mom to be able to know how many comments there are. Even though that was the plan, I forgot and replied to one and there was a reply to that. Bottom line is, there were Continue reading →
When Miss Deb of Zee & Zoey’s Cat Chronicles invited folks to participate in Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, mom and I said yes right away. She has been wanting me to write a post about her soul kitty, Hollywood, for some time and this seemed like the purrfect opportunity. Now you might think that this would bother me, that mom had another soul kitty (can you have more than one in a lifetime?) but it doesn’t. In fact, mom has told me many stories about her and Hollywood is a bit of an inspiration to me.
For the past day or two, I’ve been seeing the human mom’s saying that writing about their kitties over the bridge made them have leaky eyes. Mom has promised me she won’t do that, but if … Continue reading →
Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by. I am one excited kitty today. I can hardly believe it, but I have been blogging for one whole year. That’s a long time in the life of a cat! When I first started blogging, I never really gave it a thought as to why I was doing it and it has been a bit of a walk down memory lane figuring it all out. But, before I get started (I might get long-winded) please help yourselves to some refreshments.
