Stroller Selfies

Mom has been busy getting ready for our trip to BlogPaws. I spend most of my time watching from my stroller where I took today's stroller selfies. #TrippinWithChristy

017Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve meowed at you all here so I hope you’ve been following me on social media. If you have, you know that mom has been crazy busy getting ready for our trip to the BlogPaws pet blogging conference in Phoenix. Who knew there would be so much to do! Just watching mom makes me tired.

Since I have such a sensitive tummy, one of the things mom did was can some meat for me to take on the trip. I have pork and beef. She mixed up dry supplements that she’ll add to each meal. She just hasn’t found a canned food that I can eat without getting diarrhea. That’s why mom Continue reading

Benefits of a Pet Water Fountain

Kitties don't have a strong drive to drink water which can lead to serious health problems. A pet water fountain can encourage them to drink more water.

I’ve been saying for the longest time that I want a water fountain. Ever since mom went to BlogPaws last year and came home telling me about all the cool fountains she saw, I’ve wanted one.

Kitties don't have a strong drive to drink water which can lead to serious health problems. A pet water fountain can encourage them to drink more water.I know how important hydration is for us kitties and how hard it is for some of us to drink enough water. … Continue reading

Have You Heard of Whisker Fatigue?

Bowl, mat, box 181_3527Frankly, my mom hadn’t heard much about whisker fatigue, or whisker stress, until she did some research for a post she wrote about kitty whiskers on her Savvy Pet Care blog. If she had asked me, I could have told her all about it. I mean, doesn’t it make sense that since our whiskers are very sensitive, that it would be uncomfortable to stuff our face in a small dish to eat? And humans wonder why their kitties ask for more food when the dish is not empty. Humans can be pretty lame sometimes!

After mom did the above mentioned research, she started looking for other dishes for us, so when we were contacted and asked if we wanted … Continue reading

My First Time Taking the Pet Blogger Challenge

My First Time Taking the Pet Blogger Challenge

I first read about the 2016 Pet Blogger Challenge, hosted by GoPetFriendly.com, a few days ago on Facebook. I answered some of these questions in my Looking Back at 2015 — My Tops and Favorites post, but it never hurts to take another look at things. I missed posting this in time to join the linkup (See #10!) but thought you might like to read the answers anyway.

1. How long have you been blogging? And, for anyone who is visiting for the first time, please give a quick description of the subject of your blog.

I started blogging in August of 2014. Mom was doing more educational writing on three other blogs. She was having health issues and wanted to lighten things up a bit. I mostly blog about my daily life with my two … Continue reading

Looking Back at 2015 – My Tops and Favorites

ChristyHappy New Years Eve! Today, we say goodbye to 2015 as 2016 peeks around the corner. Mom says time is just flying by. I don’t really get that, but I know it means something to the humans.

It’s hard to believe I am already a third of the way into my second year of blogging. For my blogoversary in August, I wrote a review of my first year, highlighting some of my accomplishments. It was my third most popular post of the year. With 2015 coming to an end, since my blogoversary post looked at accomplishments, I thought I would look at some statistics for the year.

Top Posts

It came as no surprise that my top post for the year was for the Continue reading

Do Cats Really Like Fish?

Ocean eating Primal sardine grind

two pictures of cats eating ground sardines with text overlay: Do cats really like fish?Do cats really like fish? I ask this question because it came up at our house this past week. The answer to this question in our house is, it depends.Primal Sardine Grind

Mom got us some Primal sardine grind at our local store where she gets our raw meat. Since we love an occasional treat of tuna, she thought we would love this. Ocean dove right into it … Continue reading

Thankful Every Day

Good afternoon friends and furiends! I hope you had a wonderful day yesterday with loved ones, whether or not you were celebrating Thanksgiving!

Echo, Ocean and I had a pretty quiet day since mom was gone most of the day. She gave us a great breakfast of our raw chicken and rabbit then headed out early for Minden, NV with her friend Kelly. They went to Kelly’s uncle’s house, about two hours away, for Thanksgiving dinner.

If you saw my post on Instagram, you know we had snow on Wednesday, so it was uncertain if they would actually be able to go. To get to Minden from our house you have to drive over the Kit Carson pass at 8600 feet. If there was snow on Thursday, they wouldn’t be able to go, or even want to for that matter. By Wednesday afternoon, no snow was predicted for … Continue reading

What’s That on Your Chin, Ocean?

My brofur, Ocean, is prone to chin acne. He has had it off and on most of his life, although his outbreaks have been very mild for the past couple of years. Maybe that’s because it is common in kitties 2-4 years old due to hormones and he is six now.
