I’ve missed quite a few Sunday Selfies lately but I hope that is all in the past. I’ve been working on whipping the typist (aka mom) into shape. She’s doing pretty good so far — hey, it’s been a week already since we had our talk!
I know you were probably expecting a photo of me and my gorgeous blue eyes, but since the holidays are coming up when humans usually have a lot of visitors, I have decided to bring you a couple of guests today.
Mom was very busy last week with pet sitting. She was even gone overnight again one night! Why does she do that? Well, anyway, she took some photos and I picked out a few of one family.
This is Peaches. Selfies never really do a kitty justice, but just so you know, she is quite a stunning calico. Mom said Peaches tried to … Continue reading →
Mom was gone all day Saturday. I mean ALL day. She left right after breakfast and didn’t get home until long after dark. Dinner was late and it was cold in the house — like only 65º. What kind of a temperature is that for a kitty? You would think she would want to make it up to me by bringing me a fabulous toy or scrumptious treat, but no. Nothing. Well, unless you count the new pooper scooper she brought.
I can’t be too upset with her though. She went to Livermore, CA, about a two-hour drive from here, to see my friend Summer compete in one of her cat shows. Mom didn’t get there until around 11:30 because she … Continue reading →
Mom’s friend, Kelly, who lives next door, has a cousin who raises goats. In the spring, mom got to go see them shortly after most of the babies were born. She took lots of pictures which she forgot to do anything with. Since there have been lots of guest posters on Sunday Selfies, mom thought you might like to see some of these goats and the babies this week. The good thing about this? I didn’t have to do selfies this week.
Here’s Ms. Goat’s Sunday selfie.
I’ve never met a goat in person but these things look kind of cute. Here are some moms and lots of babies.
A few weeks ago, Flat Andy, one of my Cat Scout friends, arrived for a visit all the way from Ashtabula, Ohio. That’s a long way to travel, over 2400 miles, so you can imagine that he was pretty tired when he got here. My silly brofurs, Echo and Ocean, wanted to meet him right away instead of giving him some time to rest.
Echo showed him one of his favorite perches in front of our favorite window — yes, it’s everyone’s favorite window!
Ocean was curled up in one of the little pods on the big tree and wanted Andy to join him there. Good thing Flat Andy is skinny or he would never have fit!
Whoa, this “Sunday Selfies on Monday” almost ended up being Sunday Selfies on Tuesday. Mom was pretty useless on Sunday. She seemed to think that cleaning the house was more important than finishing my post until Sunday night. Today, she went off all day with her cooking group to Apple Hill. Mom, you have to remember to push the “publish” button!
We didn’t want to skip this post because this weekend mom let another one of her pet sitting clients, Theo, try his hand at selfies. As you may know, I’m not that fond of dogs but I’m really trying to learn to like them. Mom says he is a very sweet one, but then she says that about all of them. I think he did a pretty good job on his selfies for his first time.
The Traveling Bikini arrived here mid-September while we were evacuated from the fire. It was waiting at the Post Office when we got back home. Mom apologizes for holding it hostage for so long but has been dealing with a lot of things, mostly computer issues since the fire, and hasn’t been able to write my posts for me much. It’s not very practical to write blog posts from an iPhone. At least that’s what mom says.
Do you know about the Traveling Bikini? Back in May, Phoebe of 15andmeowing had the (fun?) idea to send a bikini around to her friends for them to take photos in, and so began The Kittyhood of the Traveling Bikini. The first kitties to get it after Phoebe were … Continue reading →
Hi Friends! We are still having some computer issues here but are doing the best we can with what we have to work with. My friend, Flat Andy is here visiting from Ashtabula, Ohio, and we took some selfies this morning. We got a little silly but we had fun.
Mom has had many kitties in her lifetime. Two others, besides me, were very special to her. Hollywood was one of those special kitties. If you missed part one, you can read how she came to live with mom and how I feel about mom having had another soul kitty by clicking here.
Life was pretty normal for Hollywood for the first couple of years of her life. Then mom and her boyfriend got involved with exotic animals. That, in itself, is a very long story. Suffice it to say, it made for some very interesting experiences for a petite, Himalayan kitty. Continue reading →
