I really love Instagram and my Instagram followers. Instagram has so many great photos to see of all my pals. Here are my July Instagram favorites, but I posted lots more, so go take a look if you haven’t visited in a while.
Hi friends and furiends! I’m so glad to be here today. It’s been really quiet around here for us kitties. Mom has been so busy that I haven’t been on any adventures and she hasn’t even spent much time playing with us. Don’t feel sorry for us, though. We’ve still been getting lots of loving and have had plenty of time to do our favorite thing — snooze, as evidenced by the following photo.
In fact, this is how this post came about. Here we were, having a great snooze in a splendid sun puddle and along comes mom with the camera. I think she took several photos before I woke up and noticed her. Sometimes, she can be … Continue reading →
Mom has been really busy and not feeling up to par so I decided to let her off easy for today’s Caturday Art. She created some things a while back when she was experimenting with an app. These experiments never were published so I suggested she use them.
Hope you had a restful Caturday and enjoyed all the art in the hop. We’re late but we’re here!
Good morning friends and furiends. I am so excited, I am doing the happy dance here. When mom went to the Feed Barn yesterday to photograph the kitties, there weren’t any there! That’s right NONE. All of A-PAL Humane Society‘s kitties have been adopted, even Flower Puss who was still there last week.
They don’t expect to have any more kitties until kitten season starts in the spring and those won’t be ready for adoption until summer. That is so different from when we lived in Southern California in a much warmer (in the winter) and more populated area where kitten season never ended and strays were picked up all the time. The rescue there always had hundreds of kitties. It’s so great that all the adults have been adopted because once there are kittens the adults … Continue reading →
For this week’s Caturday Art, mom had an idea for a Valentine’s Day card and wanted to learn how to use the custom shape tool in Photoshop to do it. Photoshop Elements, which is on her sick computer and no longer works, has a cut out tool that makes what she wanted to do pretty easy. It seems, though, that Adobe thinks if you use regular Photoshop, doing the same job needs to be more complicated.
So, she hopped on Mr. Google to find a tutorial. Of course, like most things, once you know how to do it, it is quite easy.
While she was tinkering with her idea for the Valentine’s Day card, she wanted to see what she could do with the shape and came up with this.
Mom tried and tried to do something different in Photoshop for today’s Caturday Art but just couldn’t come up with anything she liked. She said the creative juices just weren’t flowing. Finally, she decided to just use a beautiful photo of me and see what she could do with it with art filters.
Here’s the original photo.
She used the Stylize/Extrude filter with its default settings for this effect . She made a few adjustments to the settings of the Render/Picture frame filter to change the size of the frame before adding.
