You know how the humans say you shouldn’t shop when you are hungry? Mom said maybe she shouldn’t work on Caturday art just before dinner. Those tri-tips do look pretty good to a hungry kitty. No need to cook them for me though. I’ll take them just the way they are!
Do you get to eat raw food?
Wishing you a day full of good noms!

The Traveling Bikini arrived here mid-September while we were evacuated from the fire. It was waiting at the Post Office when we got back home. Mom apologizes for holding it hostage for so long but has been dealing with a lot of things, mostly computer issues since the fire, and hasn’t been able to write my posts for me much. It’s not very practical to write blog posts from an iPhone. At least that’s what mom says.
Do you know about the Traveling Bikini? Back in May, Phoebe of 15andmeowing had the (fun?) idea to send a bikini around to her friends for them to take photos in, and so began The Kittyhood of the Traveling Bikini. The first kitties to get it after Phoebe were … Continue reading
These were my thoughts on selfies today:
So mom took a picture of my toes.
Sunday is always our day for selfies. Read on to see what else we have going on today. It’s a mixed bag.
Yesterday afternoon, I was enjoying a wonderful little snooze on with mom.
I woke up briefly and mom decided it was a good time for selfies. Sometimes, this is a good time for selfies because I’m still so asleep I don’t quite realize what is going on, so I can be more cooperative.
After a big yawn
And a little primping
Mom has been pretty busy for the past few days with pet sitting, including one of her favorite kitty clients, George. He’s a very handsome and talkative black kitty. When she was trying to take photos of him for his parents, he kept pawing at the phone so mom decided to let him try his paw at selfies.
Now, those of us who do selfies know that it is not as easy as it seems like it should be.
If you haven’t already done so, visit yesterday’s post and enter my Gotcha Day/Birthday giveaway!
And just so you don’t miss me too much, here’s my selfie!
Hope you had a safe and happy Fourth of July! It’s time for these kitties to rest up!

Today is Ocean’s birthday. We don’t know his actual birth date, but mom made a best guess for each of us so we would have an official day to celebrate and this is Ocean’s day! He is an obnoxious, sassy boy who lacks the sweet factor that redeems Echo, but I love him just the same. He can be entertaining when he’s not chasing me! Oh, and he is six today. We all turn six this year.
This birthday card is our entry in this week’s Caturday Art with Athena and Marie.
Celebrating with Fresh Catnip!
Ocean and his Favorite Scratching Post
Since the new tree came to our house, this is definitely one of Ocean’s favorite places to be and things to do. He likes to stand on the top platform, reach all the way to the top and scratch on it. He can almost touch the ceiling cat. I personally don’t see the appeal.
In and of itself, this is probably not that surprising or even interesting to most. However, as boys will be boys, look what mom came home to from BlogPaws. I told him he shouldn’t be so rowdy but he just wouldn’t listen.
Hey there! Ocean here. I took over the blog this morning while Christy was sleeping. Actually, she said I could. I wanted to ask if you kitties who blog feel like you get away with more stuff since you started blogging? Maybe even all your fur sibs get away with things.
Like, take the other day for instance. I jumped up on the arm of mom’s chair and slyly slid my paw over to her side table to liberate a crinkly piece of paper. Mom was sitting right there but I couldn’t help myself. (Christy says it is because I’m naughty!) Oh, do I ever love crinkly things! Continue reading
