As you may recall, mom doesn’t make the best choices when it comes to bringing gifts to us when she goes places. When she went to a big craft show in Sacramento she brought me a harness and when she went to her first cat show to see my pal Summer, she brought me a pooper scooper. I wasn’t too thrilled with these things, even if they were purple.
Quite often, I take my selfies when I’m laying in mom’s lap. That’s where I was last night when she said I should do some. Then, of all the rude things, she called Ocean up in her lap. He was asking to come up so she said he could. In case you don’t know, even though I love my brofur, we don’t get along all that great.
Happy New Years Eve! Today, we say goodbye to 2015 as 2016 peeks around the corner. Mom says time is just flying by. I don’t really get that, but I know it means something to the humans.
It’s hard to believe I am already a third of the way into my second year of blogging. For my blogoversary in August, I wrote a review of my first year, highlighting some of my accomplishments. It was my third most popular post of the year. With 2015 coming to an end, since my blogoversary post looked at accomplishments, I thought I would look at some statistics for the year.
Happy Monday my friends! I hope you all had a most wonderful Christmas. I know we did.
On Christmas Day, mom finally let us open our Secret Paws box. We were so excited to find out it came from our friends Gus, Jaq, Pearl and their human mom Jenny from As the World Purrs. Thank you so much!
First, of course, someone had to inspect the box and its wrapped contents. I let Ocean have that honor.
Once everything was out, mom wanted to take pictures with the packages. See the cute little bags that things are in? Mom thought that was a really clever wrapping idea. We each had our own bag with our name … Continue reading →
We are going to cheat a little for Caturday Art today. Mom hasn’t been feeling well and we are so behind on posting. We have caught up a little on commenting but are taking the easy way out on today’s post.
Mom was really being lazy not feeling well when she first tried to do this one for our e-card. She decided she had to find better photos of us, manipulate them in Photoshop so that they were light enough and make a more personalized card.
I guess I should give her some credit. She got my snail mail cards mailed earlier than she has ever mailed her own cards (which she hasn’t sent in years) and got my Secret Paws mailed by the … Continue reading →
Yes, we have a tree. Echo, Ocean and I have been alive and living with mom for seven Christmases and this is our very first Christmas tree. There was a good reason though, I guess, that we didn’t have one all those years. For the first five Christmases, mom was fostering kittens, lots of kittens, and knew a tree was not a good idea with all of them around.
In the beginning, we were those foster kittens. As you may know, Echo and Ocean were mom’s first two foster kitties. I came along a few weeks later. (There were several other kittens between Ocean and me.) The three of us were all … Continue reading →
Do cats really like fish? I ask this question because it came up at our house this past week. The answer to this question in our house is, it depends.
Mom got us some Primalsardine grind at our local store where she gets our raw meat. Since we love an occasional treat of tuna, she thought we would love this. Ocean dove right into it and licked his plate clean. Echo and I weren’t so sure. I licked it a little and Echo (Mr. Picky) just walked away. Now mind you, this was totally different from what we are used to eating. It … Continue reading →
My brofur, Ocean, is prone to chin acne. He has had it off and on most of his life, although his outbreaks have been very mild for the past couple of years. Maybe that’s because it is common in kitties 2-4 years old due to hormones and he is six now.
When mom first discovered it several years ago when he was a youngster, she thought he just had a dirty chin and tried to scrub it clean. Well, that wasn’t the best thing to do. When some of the spots came off, they started to bleed. She was volunteering with the rescue at that time and learned that he most likely had feline chin acne. There are other conditions that can look … Continue reading →
