A Bit of News and Some Sunday Selfies

Just dropping in to say hi and give you a bit of an update on what's been happening with us. We are also joining in for Sunday Selfies.

Hi Friends! I know I haven’t been around much but I sure think about you all and hope you are well and happy. I wanted to write and give you a little update on what has been happening with us. It also ended up being a little walk down memory lane through Instagram.

The weather here has been just awful with so much rain, hail, wind, and even a little snow. Mom says there has been a lot of flooding here in Northern California — thank catness we are not too close to it. And we will probably get lots more rain through the spring. At least this means our drought is pretty much over, but all this bad weather means mom hasn’t taken me out in the car or even taken me for a walk in my stroller.

Wallace is a Girl — Must Take Selfies

Mom and Wallace take a selfe together

Hey, hey, hey! Look who’s here! It has been so quiet around here for us kitties. Mom has been really busy taking care of other pets, running around “doing research” for her other blog and just generally neglecting us. She hardly ever has time to nap with me in the comfy chair and I really miss that. Maybe with colder weather coming we can snuggle more. Sometimes, I resort to loving on her while she is working at the computer.

Speaking of colder weather, today was a strange day. Mom told me the weatherman said it was going to rain but it was so sunny and beautiful this morning. I laid on the back of the couch in a wonderful sun puddle and soaked it all in just in case the weatherman was right. Sure enough, about one in the afternoon it was like mom turned the lights … Continue reading

If They Won’t Give You Bacon, Get Your Own

Really, it wasn't me! Christy washing her face.

Furiends, I have a tale to tell you. I think my bacon loving furiend, Sammy, will especially appreciate it.

My Bacon Tale

Recently, mom made herself a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich for lunch. When she went to sit down to eat it, as always, I sat next to her and stared. That usually gets me at least one or two bites of whatever she is eating. I stared and stared but I got no reward. She ate the whole thing without giving me one single bite!

Mom set her empty plate on the table and went to sit in the comfy chair to rest for a while. Lucky for me she fell asleep. I … Continue reading

My July Instagram Favorites

I really love Instagram and my Instagram followers. There are so many great photos of all my pals. Here are the photos I posted in July that I like best.

I really love Instagram and my Instagram followers. Instagram has so many great photos to see of all my pals. Here are my July Instagram favorites, but I posted lots more, so go take a look if you haven’t visited in a while.

This photo is one of the last ones mom took in my hotel room at the Sheraton Grand at Wildhorse Pass in Chandler, AZ, when I was on my big road trip. I think it is my favorite of the month. The room had such pawsome sun puddles and Mom says it is that great natural light that really shows off my eyes.

A sneak peek at tomorrow’s #selfie post. Be sure to visit my #blog on … Continue reading

Before I tell you about my missed adventure, I want to remind you about my big birthday/gotcha day celebration and giveaway on Monday. Be sure to visit and enter for a chance to win some great prizes!

My Missed Adventure

Road trip missed adventure I really enjoy riding around in my stroller with the top open so I can look around. I even liked doing it at BlogPaws as long as there weren’t too many loud noises or a lot of woofies.

On Saturday afternoon, on our way back to the room to rest up before the Nose-to-Nose Awards banquet, I decided it was time to explore the joint on my own.

As we got off the elevator, I jumped out of … Continue reading

Road Trip – Part 2 – BlogPaws

Everyone said I handled the busy BlogPaws 2016 conference really well. Keep reading to see who I met and my perspective on it.

When last I left you, in Road Trip – Part 1, it was shortly after 6 am on Wednesday and we were on the road to Chandler, Arizona, and BlogPaws 2016.

I sang mom a tune or two when we first started but then got tired and just hung out. I tried to nap but it just didn’t seem to happen. So many strange noises outside and the motion of the car did NOT lull me to sleep.

Mom only made two quick stops along the way so we arrived at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass in Chandler before noon. At first, mom thought she was going the wrong way. The hotel is down a narrow, two lane road kind of out in the middle of nowhere, or so it seemed.

Check in was a breeze and we … Continue reading

Road Trip – Part 1 – Orange County Stopover

Whew! What a wild week. Check out my road trip! Here's the first installment of my trip to BlogPaws in Arizona with stopovers in Orange County.

Whew! What a wild week. I don’t even know where to start so I guess I’ll just start at the beginning!

Some of you probably know that mom wanted to take me to BlogPaws last year but she felt she didn’t get me out enough, then I had that awful experience with the woofies next door. She was worried that I would be too afraid with all the dogs around and boy, am I glad she made that decision after what I saw the past few days.

This year, we worked at it much more diligently. I started spending lots of time out in the yard once the weather got better and I really got into that. Our yard is totally fenced and mom was always out with me so she let me out without a leash! Woohoo! I didn’t even worry too much … Continue reading
