In case you haven’t been following along, I’ve been telling you about my road trip this past week. You can read Part 1 here and Part 2 here. I especially liked yesterday’s Part 3 post about my Missed Adventure.
It has been warm and sunny here and the doors and windows have been open a lot. Mom says that means spring is here. She has been working outside a little, getting the herb garden cleaned up and starting to re-pot the potted plants that survived the winter. She cleaned off the deck, put away the chair covers and brought out the cushions. She puttered around for a long time, rearranging furniture and plants.
We watched the birds on the garage roof from the dining room window and door. They weren’t deterred from gathering the seeds dropped by the big tree by mom’s bustling around.
Hi friends and furiends! I’m so glad to be here today. It’s been really quiet around here for us kitties. Mom has been so busy that I haven’t been on any adventures and she hasn’t even spent much time playing with us. Don’t feel sorry for us, though. We’ve still been getting lots of loving and have had plenty of time to do our favorite thing — snooze, as evidenced by the following photo.
In fact, this is how this post came about. Here we were, having a great snooze in a splendid sun puddle and along comes mom with the camera. I think she took several photos before I woke up and noticed her. Sometimes, she can … Continue reading →
Echo, Ocean and I are a little bummed today. For the past week or so we have had the most pawsome weather. It was glorious! If you follow me, you may have heard me mention just a time or two about how much it has been raining — over six weeks with only a day or two off here and there and they were still gray and gloomy. For those few days, though, the sun was shining and we had sun puddles in two of our windows.
The best part was that the windows and doors were open almost all day for a few days! Mom said the temperature was in the 70s.
For this year’s conference, she really wants me to go with her so she had planned to work diligently on my harness training and getting me out in public. So far, the weather has put a damper on that. It has been raining almost steadily since Christmas. Mom says rain won’t make me melt but she wants my trips out to be pleasant.
On Monday, mom got out the treats and I ran through my tricks a couple of times, so far sit, high five and up. Then the harness went on. No problem. We do this often.
Several times a week, I have to put one or the other of my brofurs in their place. Most often, it is Ocean. Take just the other day. It was a beautiful, sunny day. The doors and windows were open and I was sitting at the front door in a wonderful sun puddle. Ocean decides he has to be in the same sun puddle. No problem. I can share.
He sits for a while, then he slinks around me and starts sniffing, well, you know where.
Now, he has no business doing that so I told him so!
After a few smacky paws, he got the message and went back to chillaxin in the sun puddle.
