Two Cats in a Travel Trailer — Preparing for Adventure

Echo, Ocean and I are soon to be three cats in a travel trailer. We will be embarking on a long road trip the end of September. Follow along to see how we enjoy the adventure.

Hi furiends. It’s been a while since I’ve posted an update and I finally convinced mom to take a few minutes. If you are on my mailing list and read my last newsletter, you know what has been keeping mom so busy. We are moving again and our house is a disaster! Mom seems to be going off in so many directions and nothing is getting completed. Stuff is everywhere! Is that the way humans normally work? Fortunately, she hasn’t messed with my favorite place to hang out — my stroller.

Traveling with Cats

Whether you are a seasoned veteran traveler or getting ready to head out on your first trip, I bet you’ll find lots of useful information on traveling with cats in these posts from some of my best pals. Oh, and there’s even a post written by mom for her Savvy Pet Care blog. It stars me, of course!

Planning – Before You Go

Road Trip – Part 4 – Hotel Room Selfies

In case you haven't been following along, I've been telling you about my road trip this past week. Today it's my hotel room and hotel room selfies.

In case you haven’t been following along, I’ve been telling you about my road trip this past week. You can read Part 1 here and Part 2 here. I especially liked yesterday’s Part 3 post about my Missed Adventure.

Since I spent a lot of time in our wonderful hotel room at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass during BlogPaws, I wanted to tell you about it.

We saw some amazing sunrises.

SunriseOur room was so bright and sunny. It had the most pawsome sun puddles in the morning!

Road Trip – Part 3 – Missed Adventure

Before I tell you about my missed adventure, I want to remind you about my big birthday/gotcha day celebration and giveaway on Monday. Be sure to visit and enter for a chance to win some great prizes!

My Missed Adventure

Road trip missed adventure I really enjoy riding around in my stroller with the top open so I can look around. I even liked doing it at BlogPaws as long as there weren’t too many loud noises or a lot of woofies.

On Saturday afternoon, on our way back to the room to rest up before the Nose-to-Nose Awards banquet, I decided it was time to explore the joint on my own.

As we got off the elevator, I jumped out … Continue reading

Road Trip – Part 2 – BlogPaws

Everyone said I handled the busy BlogPaws 2016 conference really well. Keep reading to see who I met and my perspective on it.

When last I left you, in Road Trip – Part 1, it was shortly after 6 am on Wednesday and we were on the road to Chandler, Arizona, and BlogPaws 2016.

I sang mom a tune or two when we first started but then got tired and just hung out. I tried to nap but it just didn’t seem to happen. So many strange noises outside and the motion of the car did NOT lull me to sleep.

Mom only made two quick stops along the way so we arrived at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass in Chandler before noon. At first, mom thought she was going the wrong way. The hotel is down a narrow, two lane road kind of out in the middle of nowhere, or so it seemed.

Check in was a breeze and we … Continue reading

Road Trip – Part 1 – Orange County Stopover

Whew! What a wild week. Check out my road trip! Here's the first installment of my trip to BlogPaws in Arizona with stopovers in Orange County.

Whew! What a wild week. I don’t even know where to start so I guess I’ll just start at the beginning!

Some of you probably know that mom wanted to take me to BlogPaws last year but she felt she didn’t get me out enough, then I had that awful experience with the woofies next door. She was worried that I would be too afraid with all the dogs around and boy, am I glad she made that decision after what I saw the past few days.

This year, we worked at it much more diligently. I started spending lots of time out in the yard once the weather got better and I really got into that. Our yard is totally fenced and mom was always out with me so she let me out without a leash! Woohoo! I didn’t even worry too much … Continue reading

I Couldn’t Fool You — More Car Time

Christy sitting by carrier looking out the window - I Couldn't Fool You -- More Car Time

Christy close up in the car getting more car time in prep for her tripI teased you a little yesterday with my selfies but it really wasn’t that hard to guess where I was. Most of you figured out that I was getting more car time in preparation for my trip to the BlogPaws conference in June. Mom had errands and it was a beautiful, sunny day — purrfect for a family outing. Well, not the whole family.

As you may remember, I haven’t been that happy riding in the car. Mom thought maybe it was the carrier I didn’t like so she had decided to try the larger … Continue reading

All is Forgiven, Mom

Adopt Flower Puss -- A-Pal Humane SocietyToday is the day I would normally tell you about a wonderful kitty available for adoption through A-PAL Humane Society; however, when mom went to the Feed Barn yesterday to photo the kitties, there was only one there! What pawsome news, right? Well, there is a bit of a down side to the good news. The bad news is that the one lonely kitty who was there was Flower Puss. I told you about her a couple of weeks ago and she is still looking for her purrfect forever family. So, I would really appreciate it if you would click on her story … Continue reading
