I was pretty excited a while back when a representative of True Science contacted me and wanted me to be an ambassador. As a company, their mission is to combine the highest quality standards and advanced scientific processes to provide the finest pet products, made in the USA. As an Ambassador, I’ll get to tell you about a lot of their great products over the next few months. When mom came home from BlogPaws, she brought us lots of treat samples. We … Continue reading
We still don’t have many words, so I guess it is a good thing it is Wordless Wednesday. We have been trying to write a post for the past couple of days, but mom and I just can’t wrap our heads around it yet. In case you don’t know, we were evacuated last Thursday afternoon due to the Butte Fire in Amador and Calaveras counties. We were allowed back in our house late on Sunday. On Monday, the wind came up and changed direction so we weren’t sure if we might have to evacuate again. It was a very stressful and long day for mom. Yesterday was finally the first day that things seemed pretty safe on our side of the fire. We plan to have a more in-depth post soon.
So, where do evacuated kitties stay during a fire when the people offering refuge have big dogs … Continue reading
Early last week, a package arrived at our door. Mom brought it in and opened it up. We were about to check out the box when she pulled out another, smaller box. We gave the bigger box a cursory inspection then came back to check out the smaller box.
Mom opened the second box and out came a big, round, white object. While mom went out to the garage for something, we checked it out but it didn’t smell like anything so we weren’t impressed. Mom came back with some things, batteries she said, that she put inside the white thing then set it on the floor and flicked a switch.
Oh, my cat! It started making noise and a string kept disappearing inside and jumping back out.
Mom brought this box in from the garage to sort the contents. I love its wonderful little indentation that makes a purrfect little bed. Now I won’t let her take it out!
And I defend it from all attackers.
Do you have a favorite box?
Have a great Sunday.

Yesterday I was doing some research for a post I am writing for tomorrow and I came across a raw feeding site that promotes the natural prey model. What is that you ask? Well, it means that kitties are fed a combination of a variety of whole, raw, small carcasses, (for example small game hens, chickens, duck, quail, rabbits, mice, rats and/or fish). Obviously, they don’t suggest you feed a whole chicken but rather a piece of the chicken, without cutting it up or grinding it.
Mom has read about this before and thought perhaps she could give it a try as a treat if we could eat outside, but since we can’t, she never gave us anything but our chunked and ground food. She’s pretty savvy and knew the very first thing we would do is pull the whole thing off the plate onto the floor. Since she was getting ready … Continue reading
Wow! Can you believe it? This is my 200th post. And what better way to celebrate than with a special graphic for Caturday Art. Here’s what mom and I came up with for today in Photoshop Elements.
I have had so much fun being here with all of you and getting to know some of you. I am happy and grateful to call so many of you friends.
Have a celebratory day!

I told mom she could take the day off today since it is her birthday. She says we are so far behind in visiting that we may do some of that today. We really enjoy doing that together!
One of mom’s favorite things is gardening. Right now she’s headed outside to play in her little garden by the deck where she is planting her herbs. She and Kelly put a little fence around it so it is deer proof! She’s also finally planting my catnip. The poor plants keep wilting in those tiny little pots. I hope she makes us catnip tea today!
Wishing mom a very happy day!
