We thought we had been removed from the Blogging from A-Z Challenge but mom went over the list this morning for the third time and found me. We missed four days, and although the rules say if you miss five days in a row you will be removed, we just wanted to be sure! This blogging by the alphabet is hard, especially finding things that relate to me. Or maybe it is just current events keeping me and mom from being creative.
We had planned to write those three or four posts in advance but mom just got too busy before she left on Wednesday to fly to Southern California to take care of her step-dad’s affairs. He passed away the end of March. She even took her computer with her but just had too much to do in the day and a half she was there. She drove his car back on Friday (it’s a seven hour drive) and stopped at Costco in Modesto on the way home. After putting all the groceries away, mom was exhausted and we wanted to cuddle with her. We missed her!
Yesterday morning, mom went to a memorial service for the 21-year-old daughter of a new friend who was killed in a motorcycle accident on Monday. Mom said her dad’s eulogy was so inspiring and gave her lots to think about. His daughter had a sign above her bedroom door that read, “Be Amazing.” How pawsome. We cats are always amazing but mom says these are words she is going to try to live by more.
It’s getting late in the day, so before it’s over, here are selfies from all three of us since we have been away.
Live an amazing life!

Your selfies are “amazing.” Christy, when our dad concentrates, he always sticks his tongue out of the side of his mouth. His dad did exactly the same thing. Please accept our condolences for the loss of your mom’s step-dad. Mom doesn’t try any of those blogging challenges ’cause she knows she’d fail along the way somewhere.
