A few days ago, I noticed a flood of photos on Instagram that looked like paintings. Of course, mom had to know the source and, with a little snooping of hashtags, she found a new app called SuperPhoto. She spent hours fiddling with different filters.
She’s not a fan of black and white but thought it might be a good choice for this photo of black and white kitties Zoey and Sheba, two of her pet sitting clients. This filter is called Black Aura.
When mom does pet sitting, she takes lots of photos of her charges and emails or texts many of them to the pet parents. Sometimes, especially when the pet parents are gone for a long time, she creates some art to send as well.
Over the Christmas holiday, she had some clients who went on a cruise. She created a few things for them that she really liked, so I thought I would share those with you for today’s Caturday Art.
Mom hasn’t gotten to see the new Star Wars movie yet but, believe me, she will. She is older than dirt and stood in a long line to see the original at the theater — and she’s seen it many times! The only reason she hasn’t seen the new one yet is that the theaters where it is playing are not very close and the holidays have prevented planning an excursion to the big city.
Mom doesn’t buy me many new toys because I have so many, but on her last trip to the pet store, she had to get me THIS!
Now, I ask you, does it look like I’m enjoying this? Well, I love my mom so I try to … Continue reading →
We are going to cheat a little for Caturday Art today. Mom hasn’t been feeling well and we are so behind on posting. We have caught up a little on commenting but are taking the easy way out on today’s post.
Mom was really being lazy not feeling well when she first tried to do this one for our e-card. She decided she had to find better photos of us, manipulate them in Photoshop so that they were light enough and make a more personalized card.
I guess I should give her some credit. She got my snail mail cards mailed earlier than she has ever mailed her own cards (which she hasn’t sent in years) and got my Secret Paws mailed by the recommended … Continue reading →
Although we didn’t have a blizzard, we did have our first snow on Wednesday. Not only was it our first snow of the season but our first snow ever since we moved here. That’s right. It never snowed last year. Mom was pretty excited about the snow but I didn’t really find it that interesting. She says I’ll feel differently about it when I go out in it. What? When does she think that is going to happen?
When she was trying to get me to look at it so she could take a picture, all I wanted to do was get away from the cold, open door. Silly mom. She even brought out the treats to try to get me to stay by the door. Well, that was the end of that. All I could look at then was mom and the treat bag.
You know how the humans say you shouldn’t shop when you are hungry? Mom said maybe she shouldn’t work on Caturday art just before dinner. Those tri-tips do look pretty good to a hungry kitty. No need to cook them for me though. I’ll take them just the way they are!
A few weeks ago, Flat Andy, one of my Cat Scout friends, arrived for a visit all the way from Ashtabula, Ohio. That’s a long way to travel, over 2400 miles, so you can imagine that he was pretty tired when he got here. My silly brofurs, Echo and Ocean, wanted to meet him right away instead of giving him some time to rest.
Echo showed him one of his favorite perches in front of our favorite window — yes, it’s everyone’s favorite window!
Ocean was curled up in one of the little pods on the big tree and wanted Andy to join him there. Good thing Flat Andy is skinny or he would never have fit!
