Hi Friends! I know I haven’t been around much but I sure think about you all and hope you are well and happy. I wanted to write and give you a little update on what has been happening with us. It also ended up being a little walk down memory lane through Instagram.
The weather here has been just awful with so much rain, hail, wind, and even a little snow. Mom says there has been a lot of flooding here in Northern California — thank catness we are not too close to it. And we will probably get lots more rain through the spring. At least this means our drought is pretty much over, but all this bad weather means mom hasn’t taken me out in the car or even taken me for a walk in my stroller.
Today marks two years that I have been a blogging kitty. That’s about 1/8 of an average kitty’s lifespan! Seems pretty hard to believe and time has just flown by. Mom and I talked about making a big deal and having a big party but we decided instead to just thank you all for being here and being our friends.
I’ve been saying for the longest time that I want a water fountain. Ever since mom went to BlogPaws last year and came home telling me about all the cool fountains she saw, I’ve wanted one.
I know how important hydration is for us kitties and how hard it is for some of us to drink enough water. We don’t have a problem at my house because we get most of our moisture from our raw food, but clean, fresh water is still so important. Getting kitties to drink is … Continue reading →
Today is spa day. It’s our special grooming day and mom tries to schedule one every week. We all get a thorough brushing and our nails trimmed. Thank catness baths aren’t included! That reminds me, mom read recently that baths are not necessarily a bad thing for cats. I hope she’s not thinking that means me. I’m an indoor cat and do a find job of bathing myself. Sometimes I wish she wouldn’t do so much research.
I really enjoy the brushing half of our grooming routine. I love being brushed but I’d just as soon mom leave the nails alone. I just get them nice and sharp and she chops them off. I … Continue reading →
It has been warm and sunny here and the doors and windows have been open a lot. Mom says that means spring is here. She has been working outside a little, getting the herb garden cleaned up and starting to re-pot the potted plants that survived the winter. She cleaned off the deck, put away the chair covers and brought out the cushions. She puttered around for a long time, rearranging furniture and plants.
We watched the birds on the garage roof from the dining room window and door. They weren’t deterred from gathering the seeds dropped by the big tree by mom’s bustling around.
Hi friends and furiends! I’m so glad to be here today. It’s been really quiet around here for us kitties. Mom has been so busy that I haven’t been on any adventures and she hasn’t even spent much time playing with us. Don’t feel sorry for us, though. We’ve still been getting lots of loving and have had plenty of time to do our favorite thing — snooze, as evidenced by the following photo.
In fact, this is how this post came about. Here we were, having a great snooze in a splendid sun puddle and along comes mom with the camera. I think she took several photos before I woke up and noticed her. Sometimes, she can be … Continue reading →
